MOST-CONVENIENT AIRPORT:
LaGuardia is the most convenient airport.  I always prefer public transportation, and the bus M60 will bring people from LaGuardia Airport directly to Barnard!  ($2.75 in coin or Metrocard)

BUS TRANSPORTATION:
Barnard/Columbia can be reached by bus M4, M104, and M60.  For more information, visit mta.info.

NEARBY FOOD

Pick-up/take-out:

  • There's a newly opened Shake Shack at 116th and Broadway (across the street from campus)
  • Sweetgreen is a block farther
  • There's a Joe Coffee on the second floor of the Columbia building at the corner of 120th and Broadway (they have a small selection of already prepared sandwiches)
  • Dig Inn (between 112 and 113 on Broadway)
Sit down:
  • Community (between 112 and 113 on broadway)
  • Friedman's (walk through Columbia campus, it's between 118 and 119 on Amsterdam)
  • A bit farther north there's Pisticci (La Salle and Broadway)
There's also the option to get delivery from a number of local restaurants using Seamless (you can specify a day and time in advance, it's pretty reliable).

For very quick bites/snacks and/or coffee, there's Joe Coffee in columbia, Oren's (between 112 and 113 on Broadway), Kuro Kuma (La Salle and Broadway - probably the best coffee in the area), Starbucks, and there is actually a small coffee stand/cafe on campus called Liz's Place but I'm not totally sure if it's open on weekends during the semester.
